How often should I replace my Reverse Osmosis (RO) filters in Phoenix, Arizona?

Because Phoenix and the surrounding valleys have exceptionally hard water, we recommend replacing your RO pre-filters (sediment and carbon stages) every 6 months. The main RO membrane should be tested annually and typically needs to be replaced every 2 to 3 years.
Why does my Reverse Osmosis system have slow water flow or low pressure?

Slow flow at your RO faucet is usually caused by two things: clogged pre-filters restricting water flow, or a loss of air pressure inside your RO storage tank. During our standard service, Joe Filter technicians test your tank pressure and replace clogged filters to restore your flow rate.
Can I just change the RO filters myself?

While it is possible, changing RO filters can be a frustrating, messy process. Canisters can become seized over time, requiring specialized housing wrenches to open, and they frequently leak if the O-rings are not lubricated and sealed correctly.
