How To Get Rid Of Nasty Pet Odors Without Harsh Chemicals

Pets are great and for many of us they are members of our family. However, if you are a pet owner, you know they can cause your home to smell, let's say, "unpleasant" at times.  Instead of using harsh aerosol sprays and chemicals to mask the odor, try using some of these all natural ways to to get rid of unwanted pet odors...

If you have a smelly litter box, birdcage, or pet bed, try setting out a small bowl of white vinegar or baking soda, making sure it's out of reach of your animal, to absorb any unwanted odors. Do NOT mix the vinegar and baking soda together unless you want a mess!!! A small mesh bag filled with unground coffee beans will work as well, though it would work best alongside the vinegar and baking soda.

Now every pet owner has cleaned up their fair share of "accidents" and knows that cleaning up after your little friend is just a part of the job. Unfortunately this is usually the grossest part of being a pet owner.  Commercially there are a lot of products designed to try to help clean up these messes but most of them contain harsh and toxic chemicals and the ones that don't can be very spendy.  If you don't want to empty your bank account or risk the health of  your pet or yourself try this homemade disinfectant spray alternative...

All you will need are as follows-

• 1 empty spray bottle
• 2 cups of water (room temp)
• 2 cups of distilled white vinegar 
• 4 large tablespoons of baking soda

Mix the water and baking soda in the bottle first and then add the vinegar to the mix. Spray the mixture on the area you need to clean and make sure to let the mixture sit for a few minutes before wiping away. Now you have a great stain and odor remover that can handle almost any job that comes your way, even ones not pet related.
