Pet Dander

Your pet's winter coat has no use when it is hot outside. Pet dander is a combination of loose pet hair and dead skins cells that have broken free from your pet and onto the surrounding environment. One of the most common times of year for pet dander is springtime. Winter has just wrapped up and boy do our family pets enjoy shedding that heavy overcoat. Add these helpful pet tips to your spring cleaning list.

  1. Brush your pet weekly to help reduce pet dander.

  2. After playing outside, wipe your four-legged friend down with a damp washcloth. Wiping your pet down after rolling around in the grass will help reduce the amount of outdoor pollen and particles that transfer indoors.

  3. Vacuum twice a week. Don't forget to spend a little extra time vacuuming Fido's favorite places.

  4. Pet dander will find its way into your home. Help reduce the effects of pet dander and remember to change your air filters every 30 days.
