How to Clean Egg Off the House

See this content in the original post

A few pancakes, side of bacon, and two eggs scrambled sounds delicious. But waking up to a side of eggs plastered to the side of my house, well that's an entirely different kind of scrambled eggs that I didn't order.

When your home's been involved in an "egging" time is working against you. Once that sun comes out its like you've turned on the oven and those eggs are going to begin to cook. Follow these steps after your home has been involved in an "egging".

What you will need:

water hose

bucket

access to warm water

non bleach laundry soap

scrubbing brush

Steps for Cleaning:

  1. Start by using the water pressure from your hose to remove what you can of the egg.

  2. Mix 1 cup of non bleach laundry detergent with warm water in a bucket.

  3. Use a bristle scrubbing brush to gently scrub the residue with warm soapy water.

  4. After scrubbing rinse with hose water.

  5. Repeat if necessary.

More Cleaning Power?

If you need a little more cleaning power you can try using Formula 409 to spray directly onto the egg stain. Use a scrubbing brush and rinse with water.

Helpful Links and Tips:

Never use HOT water. This will literally "cook" the egg, making the stain harder to remove.

Be careful if you decide to use any commercial grade cleaning products. These products are obviously stronger and can discolor and even remove paint.
